WIN a gorgeous textured hummingbird necklace worth £95

Win Jana Reinhardt Hummingbird Necklace

Give yourself the chance of winning an early Christmas present in this month’s competition.

It’s one of the prettiest prizes we have ever given away and I wish I was allowed to enter as I would LOVE this (I might have to leave a note out for Father Christmas!)

Win a Hummingbird Necklace

You can win this gorgeous textured hummingbird necklace, worth £95, by Jana Reinhardt jewellery.

The beautiful hummingbird pendant is made from sterling silver with a textured finish and a flat back, so it will never turn around and always look lovely with whatever you’re wearing.

Suspended on a fine 0.7mm curb chain, the necklace is fully adjustable and can be worn at either 16 or 18 inches.

Hummingbirds are believed to symbolise resilience and strength of being – both things we all need a little more of right now!

Founded in 2006, Jana Reinhardt jewellery is a husband and wife team of master goldsmiths, Jana and Ross, who work from their studio by the sea in West Sussex. All their jewellery collections and bespoke pieces are entirely handmade, with the very best craftsmanship and attention to detail.

All metals used by Jana Reinhardt are from accredited suppliers, based in the UK and Germany, that continually buy back and recycle scrap metal, thus helping to create more environmentally friendly jewellery.

Perfect for your handbag – the 2021 Pocket Diary

Pocket Diary 2021

Pre-lockdown I carried around a gigantic handbag

It was big enough for my make-up, perfume, purse, phone, laptop, various children’s mini-games, books and pencils, Swiss army knife (bizarrely a mum’s best friend) and my Dairy Diary.

Like so many things, lockdown changed all that – I rarely wear much make-up or perfume and we go to fewer places where my children need something to entertain them, in fact, we go to fewer places full stop!

I have downsized to a cute cross-body bag, with those new ubiquitous essentials – masks and hand sanitiser.

I’m also using a Pocket Diary for jotting
down notes, appointments and reminders.

My Dairy Diary stays in the kitchen, for easy reference to recipes, family plans and with its pocket stuffed-full of crucial letters and notes that keep our lives running smoothly (most of the time: we did manage to forget a cookery lesson and wellies for feeding the chickens this week, whoops).

.

The Pocket Diary might be small, but it’s packed full of useful info and reminders

Here’s the list of contents so that you can see what’s inside (let’s hope we can actually use that holiday checklist next year!)

Personal information; Year planner 2021; Useful reminders; Holiday checklist; Overseas travel advice; Useful country information; Clothing sizes; Shoe sizes; Metric conversions; UK holidays, notable dates and clocks; Seasons and religious dates; Sunrise and sunset times; Phases of the moon; 2020 calendar; 2021 calendar; 2022 calendar; 2021 diary; Notes; Contacts; Anniversaries and birthdays; Gift list; Christmas card list; 2022 year planner.

And there’s a handy pen loop and pen, so it’s always to hand whenever you need it.

BRAND NEW by popular demand

Dairy Diary Wall Planner

Dairy Diary Wall Planner

Over the years, I have spoken to hundreds, possibly thousands of people who are desperate to get hold of the Dairy Diary Year Planner that they once had from the milkman.

Literally hundreds of thousands of people plan their lives by this planner – I’ve seen it hung on the wall in many kitchens.

It may only be a humble sheet of card, with 6 months to view each side, but it’s treasured as a vital part of daily life. As such, instead of only supplying milkmen (and women), we now sell wall planners to everyone.

You can buy a pack of two for just £2.00.

Great kitchen gadgets make cooking a lot easier

Staying with the kitchen theme, here I share with you six tips that I find really useful

If there’s something that you use a lot and then find it is in the dishwasher mid-cycle, buy two! I’ve invested just a few pounds on an extra pair of scissors and another bread knife.

When slicing/chopping salad ingredients, use a small knife, it makes chopping finely much easier.

Keep your knives sharp!

Use ready-made cake tin liners – it may be a little lazy but saves so much time.

Store leftovers in Pyrex-type dishes that are suitable for the freezer and for the oven, so you don’t need to wash extra containers.

For fresh meat/fish, stack in the fridge by use-by date so that you use it in the necessary order. And freeze anything with short dates, if you don’t think that you’ll cook it within the coming couple of days (just check on the label that it’s not been previously frozen).

Oh and of course, no kitchen would be complete without a copy of our new cookbook; A Zest for Life!

Take a look at this gorgeous recipe collection, which showcases delicious autumnal recipes from the book.
